The launch day is getting closer and I am getting so excited!  

In order to celebrate the final countdown until my shop opens (three days!) I've decided to offer a giveaway!

Exciting news!

Y'all!  I am SO excited to be here this morning!  I have been absent from this place for quite a while now.  Only writing a post occasionally.  And, let's be honest, for a long time it's because I was in survival mode and the blog did not make the cut when my list consisted of:  keeping twin babies alive, sleeping, running to maintain my sanity, going on an occasional date night and blogging.  Yeah...blogging was at the bottom of the list.  

But, once I finally got through the chaos that was the first year of the twin's life, I started filling my time with things in addition to my survival list.  But, again, the blog was low on the priority list.  Hence the sporadic posts.  And now, for the last two months, I've been working my hiney off on something super exciting.  Something that's been coming for years now but I've finally bit the bullet and made it happen!

  

I have a new website coming!  On October 1st!  My blog will be migrated to jennyconklin.com!  And not only will my blog be there, I will also have a Moxie Made shop and my Jenny Conklin Photography galleries!  Is it a little crazy and out of the ordinary for me to have all of this on one site?  Yes, probably.  But it makes the most sense for me right now.  

I am so excited I can hardly stand it!  And, I can't wait for you to see it.

Now, excuse me while I go lock myself away for the next 10 days getting everything finished up for you to see!

little girls skirts!

Happy Monday, y'all!  

I have been sewing lots of little girls skirts lately and I'm finally getting around to posting them here!  These are adorable with a little t-shirt and I am getting giddy about seeing them worn this fall.  I can just imagine a little cardigan over a white tee with one of these skirts and boots for the fall!  How adorable.  Unfortunately, I don't think this Crews or Tate would look quite as adorable in the getup.  But, I know lots of little girls who would!  

If you are looking for a gift for a little girl in your life, let me know!  I'd be glad to whip one of these up for you and send it on it's way.  If you are looking for a specific color, let me know and I'll email you fabric options!  I can also leave off the monogram if you'd prefer that it not have one.  

Thankfully adorable Bennett and her gorgeous mama were willing to model Bennett's Moxie Made skirt so I have some in action shots for you too!

bowl covers!

I've had a few bowl cover orders lately!  Thought y'all might like to see :)  

moxie monday.

Last week we went to downtown Apex to meet Ken and Barbie.  Before they arrived, we perused a few stores.  There's something about shopping in little main street stores during the Fall.  One of the stores had the cutest little things.  Like awesome little cards and random jewelry and interesting books.  I picked out a few cards and just as I was getting ready to pay, I looked over at a little table and saw this book:

Can you believe it?  

I was so shocked and excited to see a book titled, Moxie, and even more excited that is is full of fun little quotes that represent the word, moxie.  I sat it back down but then, couldn't resist.  

So, I've decided we should have a Moxie Monday quote each week.  You know how good I am with keeping up with these things, right? We typically last about two weeks...  

But, hopefully I can keep this up for at least a few weeks considering that it's just typing out a quote! 

We'll start out with the back of the book:

Like I mentioned yesterday, I got a monogram machine!  I've really had a good time playing with it.  It's a lot a fun :)  My first projects have been burp cloths!  I've taken pictures of the ones I've made so far.  

I've also decided to sell them! I am selling a burp cloth with an applique for $6 and if you want a name added or a monogrammed burp cloth, I'm selling those for $8. 

I'm hoping to make more things to sell but this is where I'm going to start :)

I can do lots of different objects and animals!  So let me know if you have something in mind!

Good Morning!

I definitely have exciting news for a Monday!

Today I present to you - my etsy shop: 

Moxie Made

I am so thrilled to finally be up and running!  There will be lots of additions to the shop along with even more changes in the coming weeks but I have been so excited about this I couldn't stand it for another second, much less a few more weeks!  I had to show yall now!

First, I'm sure you're wondering how I picked Moxie Made.  If you remember, almost a year ago, I asked for ideas for my Etsy shop name!  Well it honestly came down to two suggestions from y'all!  Jimmy's or Moxie Made.  I debated forever.  And finally figured that Jimmy's might seem a little odd.  Since I'm not a guy.  And I'm selling girly and baby handmade goods.  I didn't feel like "Jimmy's" quite fit the profile.  Also, I thought more and more about Moxie Made and the more I thought about it, the more in love I became.    I also decided to include the definition up at the top just because I feel like it definitely depicts what I'm going for with my shop.  Fun and quirky.  Not taking myself too seriously, because where is the fun in that?

I'm sure you've noticed by now that the blog has changed a bit as well.  I decided to incorporate it into my shop.  But relax [ha! - I'm sure you were getting worried!], I will still be posting the same crazy stuff - like the husband's modeling career, my many run-ins with bananas, my experience with baby powder, and photoshoot sneak peeks.  All of that fun stuff will remain the same.

But in addition to that, there will be more regular posting, updates of new products coming to the shop, discounts offered, and some great giveaways!  The website has also changed.  You will be redirected here if you go to grahamcrakas.blogspot.com or you can just go to moxiemadeblog.com!

And then there's another thing.  I've created a Moxie Made Facebook page.  I'll be updating this with new products and would love for you to add pictures of you enjoying your Moxie Made purchases!  Please click over and "Like" my page.  

And, speaking of Facebook, I also added a link to the Jenny Lynn Photography page up top.  I'd love for you to check it out!
