i'm so grossed out, i can't even think of a title.

Disclaimer: This will probably disgust you. Just know that it was gross to me too. I couldn't help it though, I had to share it.

Worker Man has been dying to get a BlackBerry. And by dying, I mean that is all I've heard about for the last like three months. Well, last Friday, he finally got one through work.

I just got this e-mail. Like 30 seconds ago:

the cut.

Sorry it took me so long to put pictures of my haircut up!!

Very attractive look, I know.

And...

....here's the cut :)

Pretty easy to fix. It takes about 5 minutes and it's not always in a ponytail.

update on the mcdonald's conspiracy theory.

sherry asked which mcdonald's isn't offering free coffee so she wouldn't make the same mistake.

i'm starting to get the feeling that no one wants to be like me.

but i can't figure out why.

apparently, unless you are from canada or are planning to make a sudden trip to canada in the next week and a half for free coffee, you are out of luck.

moral to the story: make sure you know which COUNTRY the deals are in.

fmil is right, i AM an idiot.

cup 'o joe.

I read on a blog somewhere yesterday that McDonald's was offering free Small Premium Roast coffee (1 per customer per day) everyday during breakfast hours for the next two weeks.

Well, I love McDonald's coffee but I rarely go there to get coffee since I can just drink the coffee at work. I decided this morning would be a good morning to stop by since I could get a free cup. I called FMIL on my way to let her know about this fantastic deal!

I pulled through the drive-thru and asked the lady if they were offering the free coffee and she couldn't understand me. I repeated myself and she acted like I was crazy. "Umm...no ma'am, we don't have free coffee"

My response?

"Well then, never mind. Thanks!"
And I whipped my car right out of that drive-thru line and headed on to work.

I called FMIL to let her know that in fact, there was NO free coffee. She asked why I didn't just buy a coffee. But of course, I'm not about to buy the cup of coffee.

I am not about to fall for the McDonald's Coffee Conspiracy that has been planned to offer free coffee at some McDonald's and not at others so I will buy coffee at the ones that aren't offering the free coffee!

Okay, so maybe they don't have a conspiracy. But STILL!

The last thing that not-so-"F"MIL (just kidding, hehe.) said...

"I'm glad you called to let me know so I didn't have to go look like an idiot too!"

yes, that was me. the idiot in the drive-thru line. you can't hurt her for telling the truth.

Giveaway!

This is my 100th post so I've got something to give away!!

I read this post by Vicki Courtney last Thursday and decided to try Jillian Michael's new workout video 30 Day Shred. Worker Man and I are addicted to The Biggest Loser and I really like Jillian. So, I decided this would be a pretty fun video to get me going in the morning.

Well, fun is not the word I would use to describe it.

Brutal serves as a much, much better description.

The first morning I was doing the video, Worker Man came out of the bedroom all groggy-eyed, looking a mess and just stares at me as I'm dying in the middle of the living room floor. I'm sure I was just as pleasant of a sight to look at as he was.

The plan is to work out hard for 20 minutes. No rest, no stops. There are three levels and I just figured Level One would be pretty simple. I thought I would do it the first day and maybe the second and then move on to Level Two.

Ummm, no.

I can barely make it through Level One for 20 minutes straight.

It's fabulous.

Well, now that I've beefed it up and all....

...guess what the giveaway is?!?

You guessed it! Your very own cardiac-arrest-on-dvd workout video!

Leave me a comment and the winner will be randomly picked and announced Friday (4/24) morning.

Be sure to leave me your e-mail address if you don't have a blogger account so I can find out where to send it!

new sport.

At my parent's house this weekend, my sister introduced me to a new sport.

This would be the refrigerator at their house.

The challenge?

Trying to actually fit something else into this fridge or freezer.
SL clearly wasn't winning the game.

My strategy?

Shove and slam.

Shove the item in there and slam the door. Then the "ball" is in the court of the next person who opens the fridge. They are responsible for finding a spot after it falls out on the floor.

ps. my mom would kill me if she knew this was going on my blog.

Happy Easter!

Our first Easter basket this year!

It was delivered from a couple of Easter Bunnies down the road. When we stopped by home from house-sitting this was on our kitchen table.

Here are Worker Man's favorite treats:

And mine:

It was a fabulous start to Easter. We had such a good time at my parent's house this weekend but we did miss Worker Man's family.

Worker Man got a home design software that we've looked at about 92 times but he'd never buy for himself. My parents put it in his Easter basket and I have only been able to see his eyes above the computer screen for the past two days.

But even past all the fun times we had...we celebrated Easter. Easter is such an incredible holiday because it refocuses me on my faith. It is a full weekend of reflecting on my acceptance of grace. The grace that is given through the blood of Jesus Christ. I am so thankful for my Savior, my Creator, my God and Easter is a weekend to celebrate and focus on Jesus' sacrifice.

disclaimer.

This week Worker Man and I are house-sitting and they don't have internet at their house. So, I will most likely be MIA until next Monday.

Just wanted to let y'all know!

bruises.

On Sunday as my sister was getting ready, she showed me a bruise on her right upper thigh. It was about the size of a half dollar. I asked her what it was from.

"It's my FIRST ATHLETIC BRUISE!"

She's playing soccer so I was really excited about it for her.

Then, as she turns around to walk to the bathroom and she has this huu-maan-go bruise on her left upper thigh about the size of a cantaloupe.

Me: What is that from?

SL: Oh, umm...I ran into a desk.

Me: just laughing hysterically

Clumsy athlete.

Isn't that an oxymoron or something?

WFMW!

Disclaimer: Of course, I finally write a WFMW post and then realize it's supposed to be backwards this week. So, my backwards WFMW question is: How do you plan out your weekly menu? We always end up have a couple of good meals and then some nights where we don't really eat supper, we just have a snack or a bite of something here and there. Remember it's just two of us, but still...I would love to have a plan for supper every night. I'm just having trouble finding something that will work for me!
-------
Okay, now on to the WFMW post I wrote about something that really does work for me!

So a few months ago I found a great gift for my sister’s birthday.

I chose my prints and the frame that I wanted, got to the check out and it was over $270.00!

Just ordering the prints was going to cost over $150.00.

Umm, my gift envelope hasn’t seen $150.00…ever.

So, I decided I would make my own.
With a twist.

I totally forgot to take pictures of the supplies beforehand but here’s what you’ll need:

-6 (or however many letters you plan to use) 4x6 frames (We used the cheap ones from Walmart) = $1.00 each
-1 small curtain rod - $9.99
-4x6 photo paper (I already had it)
-10 ft. of 5/8” ribbon = ~$4.00
TOTAL = $19.99

Now for the steps:

1. Take pictures of all the letters you will need. They’re everywhere. Promise! (Examples: “S” – an s-hook, “E” – the profile of a stoplight, “A” – a ladder)

2. Print photos. I used a photo printer but it would be just as easy to print them at Walmart or Walgreens or wherever. The photos look best as black and white or sepia.

3. Drill two small holes in the top corners of each frame.

4. Thread ribbon through the holes in each frame. It’s best to thread a loop on both sides and tie the ends together on the inside so the picture and glass will cover the knot. Then thread each frame on the curtain rod.

6. Add the pictures and hang.

My sister loved it and it looks great in her bedroom!

Creative ideas for birthday presents definitely work for me :)
